Chronoku is a free daily puzzle game operated by Ellis Knight. This page explains what information we collect and how we use it.

Information We Collect

Local storage. Your game progress, streak, and puzzle history are stored locally on your device using your browser's localStorage. This data never leaves your device unless you choose to sign in.

Account information. If you choose to sign in, we receive your email address, display name, and profile photo from your chosen sign-in provider (Google or Apple). This information is used solely to authenticate you and sync your game data across devices.

Cloud game data. When signed in, your puzzle history and streak data are stored in Firebase Cloud Firestore, linked to your account by an anonymous identifier (UID). We do not store your email, name, or profile photo in our database.

Usage analytics. We use Firebase Analytics to understand how the app is used, such as how many puzzles are played and general engagement patterns. This data is anonymous and aggregated.

How We Use Your Information

Account information is used exclusively to authenticate you and sync your game progress across devices and browsers. We do not use your personal information for marketing, advertising, or any purpose beyond providing the service.

Data Sharing

We do not sell, share, or transfer your personal information to any third parties except as required to provide the services described above (Firebase).

Data Retention & Deletion

Analytics data is retained by Firebase according to Google's standard retention policies. Cloud game data persists until you delete your account. To request deletion of your account and all associated data, contact us at contact@chronoku.com from the email address associated with your account.

Children's Privacy

Chronoku is suitable for all ages. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information, contact us and we will delete it promptly.

We may update this policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected on this page with an updated date.
